Enjoy menorah lighting time this year like never before by using a table YOU built. It's easier than you think.
1) Stain the wooden tray and four dowels with applicator pads. You can choose what shade of brown to stain with, and how thickly to lay on the stain.
2) Let the stain dry.
3) Coat the tray and dowels with a finish to seal in the color and protect the wood.
Now, you can either choose the easy way to mount the legs, or go all the way and do it like a hardcore carpenter.
Easy option:
Put a piece of heavy duty double sided mounting tape onto each dowel. Press each dowel firmly against a corner of the underside of the tray. Let it set for 24-48 hours before standing the table up.
Full-fledged woodshop option:
1) Drill a single hole into the center of one end of each dowel. Ask an adult for help!
2) Attach one leg mounting set to each corner of the tray, excluding the center screw as that would poke through the thinner would of the tray.
3) Screw a dowel onto each mount using the bolt included in the mounting set.
Once the legs are attached, put a rubber cap onto each leg and voila! your personal, handmade menorah table is ready for use.
